MEPS Waiver Evaluations

Straightforward mental health waiver evaluations at an affordable cost.

Connor Rose, PsyD, clinical psychologist
Connor Rose, PsyD Licensed Clinical Psychologist

One flat fee.

Past counseling, a diagnosis, or medication can come up during MEPS screening. A current clinical evaluation gives the reviewer a clear picture to work from.

My fee is set below what many providers charge, because getting evaluated shouldn't add a financial hurdle to enlisting.

While I cannot guarantee a favorable outcome, what I can guarantee is a fair, accurate report that focuses on what the waiver authority needs to know.

$400 everything included
  • Record review before we meet

About me

I am a clinical psychologist who used to work at MEPS HQ as a behavioral health consultant performing these evaluations for the waiver authorities. I am also a U.S. Air Force veteran and member of the Air National Guard.

This means that I understand what the waiver authorities prioritize in an evaluation and what they need to know to make a well-informed decision.

My evaluations prioritize efficiency, accuracy, and avoiding unnecessary testing just to increase my hourly rate.

Questions

Do you guarantee a waiver approval?

No. The waiver decision is made by the military service, not by me. What I do guarantee is a fair, accurate report that reflects what waiver authorities look for, because I used to work at MEPSHQ as a behavioral health consultant.

Who can request an evaluation?

Candidates for any branch can request an appointment themselves. Recruiters are welcome to contact me to schedule one for a candidate. Not sure you need a waiver? Ask your recruiter or MEPS first.

What will I need to provide?

Any applicable original medical documents related to your mental health disqualification, plus your MEPS document showing which specific 6.28.X standard was considered disqualifying. If something is missing, tell me when you schedule.

Where are evaluations held, and who can you see?

All evaluations are by telehealth. I'm licensed in Virginia, and my PSYPACT membership is pending. PSYPACT, the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact, lets a psychologist licensed in one member state provide telehealth to people located in other member states without a separate license in each.

Until it's approved, I can see candidates who are located in Virginia at the time of the evaluation. Once approved, I'll be able to see candidates in other PSYPACT states too. Not sure where you stand? Contact me before scheduling.

Who sees the report?

Completed evaluations are delivered directly to the candidate upon completion.

What if MEPS asks for more information?

A follow-up evaluation is included in the $400 fee at no additional charge.
